Program Overview
We are opening several positions in two main branches organized at our Institute: particle and nuclear physics, both in theory and experimental specialization. Typically, our PhD projects include: Amplitudes, Extensions of the SM, Phenomenology of Effective Field Theories, Particle aspects of modern cosmology, String Theory, Microscopic description of collective states in nuclei, Many-body quantum theory, Chaos in collective dynamics, Experimental nuclear physics (n_TOF, DANCE), Experimental particle physics (Atlas, NA62, Belle-II), Astroparticle physics (Pierre Auger, CTA), Neutrino physics (NEMO-3/SuperNEMO, Daya Bay, NOvA) and Development of particle detectors.
Applications collected through this website will be used to match candidates with PhD advisors and to determine project funding. All selected candidates will have to pass through the regular admission procedure of the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics. All candidates admitted for PhD will be students of Faculty of Mathematics and Physics at Charles University.
PhD projects will be carried out at one of the collaborating institutions in Prague, Czechia:
- Charles University, Faculty of Mathematics and Physics (MFF CUNI): Institute of Particle and Nuclear Physics
- Institute of Physics of the Czech Academy of Sciences (IP CAS)
- Nuclear Physics Institute of the Czech Academy of Sciences
