The Elections to the Student Chamber of the Academic Senate of the MFF UK
for the electoral term 2024 - 2027
Basic information
By a vote held at the meeting on 28 February 2024, the Academic Senate of the MFF UK announced the elections to the Student Chamber of the Academic Senate of the MFF UK for the following dates
23 to 25 April 2024.
According to the currently valid regulations (Statute of the MFF UK and the Election Regulations of the AS MFF UK), 3 senators are elected to the SKAS of the MFF UK for the period from 1 June 2024 to 31 May 2027.
If you wish to run for the election, please declare your candidacy by emailing the Chair of the Election Committee Andrej Farkaš at andrej.farkas@matfyz.cuni.cz by
10 a.m. on 18 April 2024.
Please state your full name, year of study, study programme (or field of study), level of the degree you are currently studying for (Bc., Mgr., PhD.) and your student number (can be found under the photo on your student card). Also attach a signed statement that the candidate agrees to his/her candidacy (for example in the form of a scanned document).
The candidate may also be nominated by another member or group of members of the academia. In this case, a list of nominators must be included in the proposal sent by email according to the rules above.
If you want your election programme to be shown on this website and in the voting application, please send it to the Chair of the Election Committee in PDF by 10 a.m. on 18 April 2024. The length of the programme is limited to one A4 page in Czech (or Slovak) and one A4 page in English. The content of the Czech and English version must be identical (i.e., the English version is the translation of the Czech version and vice versa). The documents may also be in colour. Programmes submitted after the deadline will not be published by the committee. All programmes will be published at once after the deadline.
The election process
The elections will be held electronically from Tuesday 23 April 2024 at 12 a.m. to Thursday 25 April 2024 at 11:59 p.m. The voting application can be found at
Login to the voting application will be via data managed by the Central Authentication Service of the UK.
Multiple enrolment does not confer the right to vote more than once.
You can tick up to three candidates on the virtual ballot paper, which is fully anonymous.
Problems with the voting application can be addressed to the email of the Chair of the Election Committee.
The official results of the elections will be posted on Friday, 26 April 2024 on this page.

The list of candidates is available only in the Czech version.
Pre-election debate with the candidates
A public pre-election debate with the candidates will be held on Monday, 22 April 2024 at 6:00 p.m. Details will be published later.
Taking part in the debate is not mandatory for the candidates, but it is a recommended way of presenting the electoral programme.
The debate will be held in Czech but the questions can be asked in English as well.
