School of Physics
Visiting
Professor position at the Institute of Particle and
Nuclear Physics specializing in theoretical Physics.

Qualification
requirements: The position is open in any area of theoretical physics. The
applicant is expected to teach two new courses at Bc. or MSc. level (90-minute
per week each). The curricula of the courses shall be proposed by the applicant
and form an integral part of the application. At least one of the courses should
introduce topics related to recent research. All teaching will be in English;
knowledge of the Czech language is not required. A teaching assistant for both
courses will be provided by the Faculty. Informal inquiries are welcome and may

The position is funded by the Czech Operational Programme Research, Development
and Education, project no. CZ.02.2.69/0.0/0.0/16_015/0002362. The funding is
available for one semester (5 months), starting preferably between January 1,
2022 and February 28, 2022. The gross monthly salary is CZK 84,000 (approx. EUR
3,230). The School will provide assistance with locating housing and schooling
for dependents (English language pre-school, elementary and secondary schools
are available in Prague). The applicant must be an internationally recognized
scholar in his/her research area with at least associate professor position in
physics or a related area. The curricula of the courses are to be proposed by
the applicant as a part of the application. A signed application (cover letter)

School of Mathematics
A
postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Algebra and
at the Mathematical Institute of Charles University in the fields of
algebra, geometry, number theory or mathematical logic.

the position must start not later than January 1, 2022.
Qualification
requirements: a researcher with Ph.D. in mathematics or related fields,
obtained not earlier than 7 years before the starting date of the position (this
may be extended by maternity or parental leave, long-term illness, taking care
of a family member for more than 90 days, and military service), who, during the
last 3 years, worked outside of the Czech Republic for at least 2 years at the
half-time (or more) research position or was for this period of time a Ph.D.
student abroad. An appropriate publishing aktivity in the last three years is
required, recorded in Thomson Reuters Web of Science, Scopus or
MathSciNet.

the Mathematical Institute of Charles University in the fields of
mathematical modeling and numerical mathematics

the position must start not later than January 1, 2022.

requirements: a researcher with Ph.D. in mathematics or related fields,
obtained not earlier than 7 years before the application deadline (this may be
extended by maternity or parental leave, long-term illness, taking care of a family member for more than 90 days, and military service), who, during the last
