Visiting Professor Position

The Faculty of Mathematics and Physics, Charles University (Prague) invites applications for the position of a Visiting Professor in the area of Mathematics at the Mathematical Institute of Charles University.

The position is open in any area of Mathematics. The applicant is expected to teach two new courses at MSc. level (90 minutes per week each). The curricula of the courses shall be proposed by the applicant and must be an integral part of the application. All teaching will be in English; knowledge of the Czech language is not required. A teaching assistant for both courses will be provided by the Faculty.

The position is funded by the Czech Operational Program Research, Development and Education, project no. CZ.02.2.69/0.0/0.0/16_015/0002362. The funding is available for one semester (5 months), starting either February 1, 2020 or October 1, 2020.

The applicant must be an internationally recognized scholar in his/her research area with Ph.D. degree in Mathematics or a related area. A signed application (cover letter) accompanied by curriculum vitae, list of publications, research and teaching statements, a copy of Ph.D. diploma, and the curricula of both proposed courses, should be submitted by email to <konkurzy@dekanat.mff.cuni.cz>.
