Field Seminar 2024

The field seminar, which has traditionally been held in the heart of the Czech Paradise, saw two significant innovations in 2024. The first of them is the creation of a course called Seminar of the Department of Chemical Physics and Optics (NOOE300), which students participating in the seminar can register in SIS and thus receive credit and 2 credits for active participation in the seminar. The second innovation was the awarding of the Best Poster Award for the best presentation at the poster session, which for the first three presenters meant, in addition to receiving valuable diplomas and prizes, also a financial award (the winner of the first year, M.Sc. Kamila Moriová can be found in the picture at the bottom left). On the first day, as part of the excursion, we visited the company SQS Vláknová optika, where we got a glimpse into the secrets of the production of various types of fiber optic connectors and fiber lasers (title picture). The traditional evening sausage roasting (picture on the bottom right) was succeeded in the following days by a rainy trip, several sections of lectures and the already mentioned poster session.
