Neuron prize for promising scientists in the field of physics

The member of our division Martin Kozák won the price of the Neuron foundation for young scientists.

The Neuron Foundation awarded top Czech scientists. A total of nine awards were handed out during the gala evening. In the category dedicated to scientific talents, seven researchers took home a glass statuette and a financial reward, including doc. Martin Kozák, who was awarded for research of the interaction of electrons with light for applications in time-resolved electron microscopy. The aim of this research is to push the boundaries of time resolution into the attosecond domain and to develop new methods allowing to control and shape electron beams in microscopes using light waves. For this research, M. Kozák also received an ERC eWaveShaper grant with a solution period of 2023-2027 and a budget of 45 million crowns.
