Participation in the Science on Stage initiative

The Department of Physics Education (DPE) is actively involved in the international initiative Science on Stage (SonS), formerly known as Physics on Stage, which for over twenty years has been connecting science teachers across various European countries and Canada, as well as across different levels of education. SonS focuses on sharing best practices and fostering connections between teachers of science subjects, mathematics, and computer science on a European scale. From its inception, it has emphasized connecting teachers and school education with scientists, modern science, and the latest discoveries.

DPE oversees the National Steering Committee of Science on Stage Czech Republic, chaired by Associate Professor Zdeněk Drozd. The National Steering Committee of Science on Stage Czech Republic organizes and coordinates SonS activities in the Czech Republic, hosts National SonS Showcases, and ensures the representation of the Czech Republic at international SonS festivals.
