Matfyz Students at the Global Finals of the Programming Competition
Matfyz team consisting of three students represented Charles University at the global finals of the prestigious International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC).

The final round of the ICPC, which ranks among the largest and oldest programming tournaments in the world, took place on April 14–19 in Luxor, Egypt. The Czech Republic and Charles University were represented by Jiří Kalvoda, Josef Minařík and Adam Rajský.
Although the competition was hot with more than 120 competing teams of prestigious universities throughout the world, Czech students managed to take beautiful 40th place. On the scoreboard, they ranked just behind the Stanford University team defeating representatives from the University of Oxford or the New York University. The first place in the competition was taken by students from the Russian National Research University Higher School of Economics.
