Scientific activities
During my studies and postdoc, I focused mainly on the analysis of the microstructure and understanding the mechanical behavior of the different metal alloys. I learnt to use different techniques to get complex information about the samples:
Neutron and X-ray diffraction measurements: techniques to probe the real-time microstructure evolution of materials under stress or heat-treatment.
Acoustic emission measurement and analysis: Understanding of the deformation mechanisms occurring within materials during mechanical loading.
Microstructure characterization: I can operate scanning electron microscope (SEM) with advanced techniques like high-resolution digital image correlation (HR-DIC) and in-situ Electron Backscatter Diffraction (EBSD) to gain a deep understanding of microstructure at various length scales.
Advanced data analysis: I possess expertise in extracting valuable information from complex diffraction data, including residual stress, texture, and phase identification.
Main research interest is focused on magnesium alloys and advanced steels prepared by additive manufacturing techniques.
